QUESTIONS? We have answers.

HOW DOES YOUR SERVICE WORK?

You submit a few of your ultrasound photos that show your baby’s gender, and we double check them to make sure you were given the correct information. We will get back to you within 24 hours, but if your time zone is similar to hours, expect to hear from us much sooner. (We are located in California.)

WHY SHOULD YOU TRUST US.

We have tons of experience! We are a network of 3D Ultrasound technicians who have been double checking each others trickier gender determinations for years. We started doing this to better ensure the highest level of service for our clients, but figured we could offer this service to everyone online, not just our clients. Determining gender with ultrasound can be tricky depending on how clear the pictures are and the position of the baby. And trust us, you don’t want an inexperienced technician being the only set of eyes on your ultrasound. Mistakes happen all the time, and even at the doctors office. Double checking is important!

HOW EARLY CAN YOU FIND THE GENDER?

It depends who you ask. But we regularly see gender determination blood tests being performed after 6 weeks of pregnancy, with most ultrasounds being performed after 14 weeks. Many prenatal ultrasound techs agree that gender can be determined by ultrasound as early as 11 or 12 weeks, HOWEVER they can be less accurate when performed that early.

The accuracy of determining your baby’s gender increases with how far along you are in the pregnancy. The accuracy can vary from 70.3% at 11 weeks to 98.7% at 12 weeks, and 100% at 13 weeks. With regard to physical gender, this is because babies bodies all start out the same (gender neutral) and either develop into male or female. So if you check too early, you could see what appears to be a female…but a few weeks later the baby could be male.

Babies generally develop on a similar timeline, but similar doesn’t mean exactly the same. This is why we encourage you to only send in ultrasounds that are over 14 weeks (16 is even better).

WHAT IF YOU CAN’T TELL MY BABY’S GENDER?

We fully refund you. We won’t ever take payment if we can’t tell what we are looking at. However, if you submit photos of the baby that are under 16 weeks we may tell you we are 95% sure rather than 100% just due to the nature of how babies develop (as we mentioned above.)
